True Blood’s Sookie Holds His Heart

For those waiting with bated breath for the upcoming return of True Blood, there is still the question of who is waiting in the wings for Alcide, that werewolf that just can’t seem to get over our gal Sookie. When it was announced that there would be a new female werewolf introduced into the pack, I was kinda hoping that this meant we were gonna at the least see some shirtless scenes of Joe Manganello who plays the heartsick werewolf on the HBO fantasy drama.
After all, one look at Kelly Overton, who plays the new werewolf called Rikki in the upcoming True Blood episodes and you can tell she is hot! The character is too, as Kelly recently told TODAY. She described Rikki as “pretty much a polar opposite of a damsel in distress” which makes it sound like Rikki and Sookie might just hit it off fine. We all know that for all the drama around Sookie, she still manages to be the kind of gal who takes it all in stride.
When Rikki first arrives on the scene in True Blood, she has just discovered that her pack master is missing. Since this is the biggest crises a werewolf pack can have, you can imagine that we are going to meet someone who is sparring first and taking questions later, if ever.
True Blood Gets Authority
Kelly went on to talk about the revelations the show will have of The Authority, the vampire council that rules and has an agenda to move vampires into the mainstream of the human world by continuing to drink Tru Blood. It remains to be seen if they can convince the Old School Vampires who see humans as merely a food source to subscribe to this. This is sure to be a central theme in much of what is rolling out soon on the small screen.
The end result is that in this season’s True Blood we are going to see plenty of drama that centers on the politics of vampires and their roles. Characters are going to be asked to choose sides, and sometimes that can be a risky thing. The power struggle between the two camps is bound to have some victims along the way.
