Vampire Romance BooksTitle: Bride of the Night (Vampire Hunters)
Author: Heather Graham
Release: November 22 2011
Pages: 324
Genre: Historical Vampire Romance

One of the best vampire novels this year. The year is 1865 and Lincoln is President over a country in a Civil War. Finn Dunne is a Pinkerton detective sworn to protect the president at all costs, and that includes protecting him from the threat of vampires. When his ship is shipwrecked along with another on an island trying to stop Tara Fox’s ship from running the blockade that protects Washington, he immediately assumes she is a spy. When he finds out she is a vampire, he is sure she is.

But Tara is no spy. Raised amongst both vampires and humans in Key West, she has deep loyalties to the president. What is more, she has been having dreams, dreams that feel more like visions. And the visions frighten her enough to risk all in an effort to warn the president of an impending attempt on his life that she has seen in these dreams.

What began as foes turns soon into more as the two find themselves falling in love as they begin a dangerous journey back to Washington to warn the president. But can they trust each other, even if they love each other?

Heather Graham has done a wonderful job creating a tapestry of fact and fiction in this Vampire Romance Books historical thriller with a supernatural bend. In Bride of the Night she moves us at a fast pace that gives the book the feel of a thriller and yet takes the time to bring our two protagonists together in a tangled romance that adds another layer to an already fascinating story.

Two for One Supernatural Fun!

The Bite Before Christmas by Lynsay Sands and Jeaniene FrostTitle: The Bite Before Christmas
Author: Lynsay Sands and Jeaniene Frost
Release: October 25 2011
Pages: 320
Genre: Paranormal  Romance

What better Christmas present then this collection of two great little paranormal romances from a couple of expert vampire writers? It may sound funny to some to give a collection of vampire romance stories as a Christmas present, but I am betting you know just the person who would love this. Here is what we have in this fun Christmas themed bite of romance:

The first story is “The Gift” and somehow I don’t think it’s is a retelling of that old Christmas chestnut. For those who are familiar with Lynsay Sands Areneau books, you will recognize Teddy Brunswick right away. Even if you aren’t a fan of the books, this is a great story. One of those “how we met” stories that is even sweeter because of Katricia’s secret, that she is a vampire. Her knowledge that Teddy is the one, her life mate, makes it all the harder for her take it easy when the two meet at Teddy’s cabin in the woods during the holidays. How they resolve their growing attraction is what makes the story sizzle, in a fun way.

Home for the Holidays is a completely different kind of story – a mystery adventure vampire romp of the type we have come to expect from Jeanine Frost and her Night Huntress stories. Cat and Bones are up to their usual tricks when they find out their friend Annette have been attacked. A mystery vampire with connections to Bones and the appearance of Ian are just some of the events that move this story forward at a fast pace. Threats abound, violence is barely held in check (or not!) and as usual our twosome gets themselves in a heap of trouble but manage to come through in one piece. This is just your typical adventure for Cat and Bones!

If you have never checked out these two series, The Bite Before Christmas is a great way to get introduced to some of the characters. If you already read them, these will be a fun treat to once again visit their supernatural land. Either way – you can’t lose!
