Sexy Vampire Romance in The Taste of Magic

There is something very satisfying about a vampire romance when the vampire is someone that needs reform. And let me tell you, if there was ever a vampire that was badly in need of reforming it is Adrian du Lac. For starters, the guy is over two thousand years old, which makes him probably one of the oldest vampires around. For another, he is pretty used to getting his way with just about anything and pretty much feels like he deserves it. Proud, petty at times, and definitely selfish is the better traits of this vampire.
Of course, he is sexy as all get up and that just adds to the allure I suppose. He is ambitious too, he has a very real desire to manipulate the business empire he has built to allow him to rule the whole planet. He figures he is just the vampire to do it, and he has time to figure out how.
But into his life has come Katerina. At first he simply wanted her because she is a witch and her powers would be a good enhancement for him. He thought, since she was but a child, that he could control her. But children grow up, this time into a strong and willful woman and she will not be manipulated.
The problem is, there is this connection between them. It is sensual, strong and very hard to ignore. So as much as Adrian may want to control Katerina for his own selfish purposes, that is probably not going to happen. Ah – but what does begin to unravel before our eyes is far more interesting. For just as it seems that Katerina will indeed fall for the vampire’s thrall, his enemies (and you can’t live for two thousand years and not gain a few of them) decide that this duo is just too powerful a force and must be stopped.
This vampire romance has all the right elements for a tasty dish that you will want to linger over. There is the sexy vampire, dangerous but still redeemable. There is the smart and capable woman who loves him, though of course at first she doesn’t realize it. Like all good vampire romance stories we get to enjoy the lusty fulfillment of their longing and just for fun the author has added in just enough danger from other sources to keep everyone flipping that page as quickly as possible. This is a fun vampire romance story with just enough steam to keep our pulses racing. All I can say when it comes to The Taste of Magic is that this one tastes yummy!
