A Touch of Dead is a compilation of the short stories written by Charlaine Harris that feature Sookie Stackhouse. The great thing about this book is that it will include all of the short stories in one place. This will be great for people who have already collected the books as well as those who haven’t.

Is there a book or short story between “Dead as a Doornail” and “Definitely Dead”? It seems like there’s time missing around Hadley’s death.

There’s a book of short stories called “Bite” which includes a Sookie Stackhouse story called “One Word Answer.” That short story provides more information about Hadley’s death.

I watched True Blood series 1 and 2 on TV, want to know if I buy the book “A touch of dead” if that will include all the stories or do I have to buy all the books in between?

A Touch of Dead contains all of the Sookie Stackhouse short stories only. You’ll need to read the Sookie Stackhouse books 1-9 in order to get the real scoop on Sookie, Eric, Bill, Jason, and Sam!
i have just read all the books and they are great but i was wondering if there is going to be any more as the end of the last book, just leaves you hanging for another?? what happens to sookie. please write another to finish the story about sookie, does she marry eric?? or not.
Dead in the family is coming out May 2010.
I love TrueBlood series… and now i am going to order box set of 8 sookie stackhouse copied heheh cant wait to read the books…

I just want to know what is the difference between “a Touch of dead” the Sookie Stackhouse Collection, and “a Touch of dead” the complete stories. There is a big difference in the price. Can you tell me which one to buy. I am finished with all 9 the books. Cant wait for “dead in the family”!!!

Do we know why the short story “Two Blondes” is left out of the “Touch of Dead” book?
I read Dead Until Dark and am wondering who Bubba is? They described him as if we should know who he is when Bill asks him to watch over Sookie while he is out of town. Sookie is told not to use his real name, so she knows him. Also, Arlene thinks she recognizes him too. Did I totally miss something earlier on in the book?

You can kind of guess it when she almost says his name El… And the when they talk about those who dresses up as Elvis in Las Vegas

I am so lost.. I looked on Wikipedia and it says the short stories are in some of the books, I just finished Dead To The World and I didn’t see any short stories in there.. should I buy A Touch Of Dead and read the short stories as it says on Wikipedia? I’ve noticed some people ask why some short stories aren’t in A Touch Of Dead? Where are people finding these stories? I love these books but they are so confusing!!

I fell in love with these books. Someone cluded me in at work and I bought all 8 at once in one order then went to the bookstore to buy the other 2. I read all 10 in order. I just couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for the next.] book. I Want to know how Sookie realy feels about Eric. It also looks like Bill could come back into the picture. Oh boy..

I want to know if there are any more books coming out?? and also, what are these short stories about? are they different from the Stackhouse novels? Or are they short side stories but still related to the book? i’m so sad, i read all of the books this month, one after another, and now I have nothing left to read!! And the books are so much better than the show, and so different!

As for the short stories, yes, they’re short stories about Sookie! So, check out A Touch of Dead by Charlaine Harris to get your Sookie fix until the next book is released in February 2011.
Hiya all, Sounds like I am having as much trouble as everyone. I love love love these book but by gosh there confusing. I read all the books in order then at the very end find out their are also short shories (which makes so much sence about hadley’s death. I actually thought I had accidentally skipped a book)Does ‘A TOUCH OF DEATH’ contain alll the Sookie stack house short stories??. Thanks all.

Is there any particular order you have to read the short stories in?
Can someone tell me the time gap from book 1 to book 10 please… I am currently on book 7 and they have mentioned the Great Revelation as happening 5 years ago, and about 2 years ago in book 1… just wondering where I lost the extra time… thanks…
I Want To Know About “A Touch Of Dead” Because In The Book At The Front It Says A List Of The Books In The Series But If I Look Online It Doesn’t Say Nothing About “A Touch Of Dead” Being In The Series. I Have Books 1-9 But Then “Dead In The Family” And “Then Dead Reckoning” So Im Confused About The Last One’s And If “A Touch Of Dead” Is Part Of The Main Series.

They are simply short stories that link up the plot between books. They were published in various places and this collects them into one book.
